Last week, Mr. Piatek gave us a few worksheets that had "Coordinate Planes". In the small booklet contained a few pages of questions, and one where we had to design our own design.
We need to learn how to flip the y-axis and the x-axis to find out what the mirrored image would look like. There were things like "Lines of Symmetry". As said in the booklet "Symmetry occurs when an object can be divided into two identical halves that are mirror images of each other. Symmetry creates a sense of balance and in the minds of some people perfection." Identical halves can be reflected in vertical, horizontal, and oblique (slanted) lines of Symmetry.

Then theres Rotation Symmetry.
In this method, you will be able to tell why 2-D shapes and designs have Rotation Symmetry. There is also the Order of Rotation, and Angle of Rotation.
In order to find out if the image has rotational symmetry, you must first find the center of the image. If you rotate the figure about its center less than 360 degrees and it fits onto itself, then the image has rotational symmetry.
The number of times the image fits into itself is called the Order of Rotation. The Angle of Rotation is the minimum measure use of the angle needed to turn a figure onto itself. To determine the angle of rotation use the following formula:   

                                            360°
Angle of Rotation  =    -------------------------------
                                              Order of Rotation

If the image completes a rotation of 360°, and returns to its original position, does not have any rotational symmetry.

Hello guys, it's Bianca.
Last Wednesday, we reviewed our assignment and test about Polynomials.

Mr. P also gave us a worksheet about Reflections so you also have to answer it. :)

Hey what's up it's Ian

Yesterday in class we did the first four pages of unit five Symmetry & Surface area. This video should explain it well.

Symmetry is the simmelarity between two sides of something. For example a d and a b beside each other like so "db". If you fold a pice of paper in half vertically with a d and a b on either side of the center they will be the same.

Sup guys , this is Renz.

         In today's class we read some key ideas on pg.15. I will be talking about Adding Polynomials . Adding Polynomials is use by algebra tiles to represent each polynomials, and then we combine the algebra tiles to simply the numbers.
